The Cuthbertson Cavaliers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. The contest between Cuthbertson and Marvin Ridge wasn't particularly close, with Cuthbertson falling 68-54. Cuthbertson has struggled against Marvin Ridge recently, as their game on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Cuthbertson saw an underclassman step up: Christian Mundy scored 22 points along with three steals. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Christian Johnson, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Cuthbertson bumped their record down to 4-10 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Marvin Ridge, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.
Cuthbertson will head out on the road to face off against Providence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marvin Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Palisades at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Palisades focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 last Friday.
