Basketball Recap: Elevation Prep Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from JAMIR WHITE and JYSHUA DANIELS

Elevation Prep Academy lost against Charlotte Elite Academy back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Elevation Prep Academy Honey Badgers came up short against the Charlotte Elite Academy Soldiers, falling 68-48. The Honey Badgers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elevation Prep Academy's loss came despite strong showings from JYSHUA DANIELS and JAMIR WHITE. DANIELS posted nine points and four steals, while WHITE went 5 of 6 on his way to 13 points. With that strong performance, DANIELS is now averaging an impressive 2.5 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of CALEB NAPIER, who put up six points and five rebounds.

It was another big night for Quincy Dunn, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 29 points and four steals for Charlotte Elite Academy. The dominant performance gave Dunn a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Antoine Boone, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds.

Elevation Prep Academy's record is now 1-3. As for Charlotte Elite Academy, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Elevation Prep Academy and Northwood Temple Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Northwood Temple Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 games -- so hopefully Elevation Prep Academy likes a good challenge. As for Charlotte Elite Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lake Norman Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
