Somerville suffered their biggest defeat since December 19, 2023 on Thursday. They suffered a rough 76-54 defeat at the hands of Lynn English. Somerville's loss continues an unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Meanwhile, Everett pushed their score all the way to 73 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Lynn English by a score of 75-73. It was the first time this season that Everett let down their fans at home.
Somerville's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-7. As for Everett, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4.
Things could have been worse for Somerville, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-39 loss to Everett in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Somerville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
