Stone Bridge (Ashburn, Va.) snapped Madison (Vienna, Va.)'s 7-game winning streak, with a 42-0 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter, the Bulldogs led 35-0 at the half.
Stone Bridge expanded its lead to 42 points entering the fourth quarter. SB's lone score in the quarter came on a passing touchdown.
The Ashburn school put up 28 points in the second quarter en route to the win. The Bulldogs scored on a passing touchdown, a rushing touchdown, a passing touchdown and a passing touchdown in the quarter.
Led by
Jonathan Allen, Stone Bridge went into the matchup giving up only 8.6 points per game. The Warhawks' zero points were well below their season average of 26.5 per game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 35-20 win for SB.
The defeat comes as a step back for Madison, which notched a 28-21 victory over Fairfax in its previous outing.
In a AAA Liberty game next week Madison (7-2) takes on Marshall, and Stone Bridge (9-0) will go up against Fairfax also in a AAA Liberty game.
