Howard is 6-1 against Ethan since March of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Howard Tigers will be playing at home against the Ethan Rustlers at 8:00 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Howard beat Winner 54-43.
Meanwhile, Ethan had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against Mitchell Christian by a score of 71-61. Given Ethan's advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Mitchell Christian is ranked 139th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Howard's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Ethan, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Howard beat Ethan 65-55 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Does Howard have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ethan turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
