Keller Central is 9-1 against the Panthers since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Keller Central Chargers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fossil Ridge Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Keller Central is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
Last Tuesday, Keller Central came up short against the Bobcat and fell 61-49. While losing is never fun, Keller Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while the Bobcat are ranked 134th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Ryan Larsen, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jordan Blair, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Fossil Ridge pushed their score all the way to 66 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 91-66 walloping at the hands of Keller.
Keller Central's loss dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Fossil Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season.
Keller Central beat the Panthers 67-58 in their previous matchup back in January. Does Keller Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
