It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Norland Vikings had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Pioneers with a sharp 55-33 victory. Norland didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.
Norland's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jasmine Johnson, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Johnson hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Shania Swan, who scored 17 points along with six assists.
Norland's win bumped their record up to 8-14. As for North Miami, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
Norland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-37 victory vs. Central on the 9th. North Miami does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
