Basketball Recap: Holly Grove Christian Victorious

Holly Grove Christian won against Arcadia last Monday with 38 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Holly Grove Christian Eagles slipped by the Nandua Warriors 38-37. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 32-29 win the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.

Holly Grove Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mackenzie Muir led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine steals. Muir is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Abby Pruitt was another key player, putting up six points and seven steals.

The victory was the third in a row for Holly Grove Christian, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. As for Nandua, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Holly Grove Christian will be taking part in a tournament against Southern Maryland Christian Academy at 10:00 a.m. on December 26th. As for Nandua, they will venture away from home to take on Crisfield at 11:00 a.m. on December 27th. Nandua has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
