The Ada Bulldogs will take on the Fort Jennings Musketeers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Ada turned things around against Pandora-Gilboa on Monday. They blew past the Rockets 9-2. The Bulldogs not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 7th (when they won 12-0).

Ada let Levi Green and Thad Smith run wild. Green went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs, while Smith got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits Green has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Wibley, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Fort Jennings had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They came out on top against the Pilots by a score of 6-3.
Fort Jennings' win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jarron Swick, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another was Owen Calvelage, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Fort Jennings pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Ada, their victory bumped their record up to 4-14.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Ada has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Fort Jennings struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Ada suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Fort Jennings when the teams last played back in May of 2018. Will the Bulldogs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
