The Highland Park Scots waltzed into their match Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wyandotte 85-17 at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Highland Park also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Highland Park was led to victory by Pearmella Carter and Amelia Ramsey. Carter almost dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 12 rebounds, and nine steals, while Ramsey dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ramsey has scored at least 25% of Highland Park's points. The team also got some help courtesy of De'Asia Sanders, who scored seven points along with ten steals and nine assists.
Highland Park pushed their record up to 3-0 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.36 points. As for Wyandotte, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Coincidentally, Highland Park and Wyandotte will both be playing Atchison the next time they take the court. Wyandotte will head out to face Atchison at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Highland Park will host them at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
