With a playoff win on the line, Highland rose to the challenge  on Monday. They came out on top against the Virginia Episcopal School Bishops by a score of  5-1. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Bishops recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive  win against them.
 Ethan Hudson made a big impact no matter where he played. He  pitched 1.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 12 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.

 In other pitching news,  Matthew McCauley tossed a big game,   striking out ten batters over  5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits (and not a single walk). Those  ten  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high.
 Back at the plate,  Brooks Graham was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs and one  stolen base. Another player making a difference was  Justin Summers, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI.
 Highland was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Virginia Episcopal School only posted a  batting average of  .115.
Highland's victory bumped their record up to 25-9. As for Virginia Episcopal School,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 13-8.
As of now, neither Highland nor the Bishops have any future games scheduled.
