Braddock had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Coral Park Rams on Tuesday as they made off with a 16-4 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Emely Ramirez made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Catherine Fuerte and Emily Cancio did most of the damage at the plate: Fuerte went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple, while Cancio went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and three runs. Braddock pushed their record up to 15-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10 runs.
