Basketball Recap: Konos Academy Piles Up the Points Against Skipstone Academy

Konos Academy won the last time they faced Skipstone Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Konos Academy Condor blew past the Skipstone Academy Warriors 74-34. With the Condor ahead 42-15 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Joshua Knapp was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 15 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down 12 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Caleb Knapp, who posted 16 points and three steals.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Scooter Barkley, who scored 13 points. That was a full 38.2% of Skipstone Academy's points, marking the tenth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dayten Hayes, who had six points.

Konos Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Skipstone Academy, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-7.

Konos Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Skipstone Academy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
