The Douglass Mighty Ducks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 90-7 loss at the hands of Forest Park. Douglass was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 67-5.
Forest Park found their leader in underclassman India Watkins, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Watkins has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Shakira Mitchell, who scored 11 points.
Douglass dropped their record down to 1-8 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.3 points per game. As for Forest Park, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-2.
Coincidentally, Douglass and Forest Park will both be playing Lewis the next time they take the court. Forest Park will host Lewis at 3:45 p.m. on Friday, while Douglass will head out to face them at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
