The Miller Rebels entered their tilt with the Indian Springs COYOTES with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Miller was the clear victor by a 41-20 margin over Indian Springs. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-0.
Miller's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jesus Rasura, who rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Rasura was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 66 yards. Eric Copeland also helped out as he racked up 101 rushing yards.
Miller's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB 11 times. It was a group effort, with four picking up two apiece.
When it comes to explaining why Indian Springs lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nimeone Neal. Despite the final result, he rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also threw for 30 yards and a touchdown on only two passes. Xavier Webber also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Miller's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Indian Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Miller will head out on the road to face off against Grace at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Grace will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Indian Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
