The Morro Bay Pirates posted their closest win since December 28, 2023 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Paso Robles 38-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Morro Bay.
Leading Morro Bay to victory were Sergio Mendoza and Lucas Cords. Mendoza scored ten points along with two steals, while Cords scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Danny Martinez, who scored five points.
Morro Bay has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-13 record this season. As for Paso Robles, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-18.
Morro Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Paso Robles also has no future games currently scheduled.
