Dunellen has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Wednesday. They will square off against the South Amboy Governors at 5:30 p.m.
Dunellen's game on Monday was all tied up 19-19 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Roselle Park by a score of 43-40.
Despite their loss, Dunellen saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Ryan Hutchins, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Vibert Reynolds was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, South Amboy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. Everything went their way against Belvidere as South Amboy made off with a 70-45 win.
Dunellen's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for South Amboy, their win was their third straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0.
Dunellen couldn't quite finish off South Amboy when the teams last played back in January and fell 40-37. Can Dunellen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
