Deposit-Hancock has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Deposit-Hancock focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Deposit-Hancock came up short against the Spartans and fell 59-49. Deposit-Hancock has not had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Deposit-Hancock might have lost, but man, Blake Fortunato was a machine: he scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Fortunato is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Russell, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Bainbridge-Guilford had just enough and edged the Blackhawks out 54-51 back in January. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bainbridge-Guilford.
Deposit-Hancock has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for Bainbridge-Guilford, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Deposit-Hancock came up short against the Bobcats in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 50-37. Can Deposit-Hancock avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
