Alcantara Made His Presence Known in Pittsburg's  49-0 Win
 Starting off the list is Pittsburg's  Marley Alcantara, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Alcantara threw for 238 yards and five touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes.
 Alcantara is probably looking forward to his next game, a  home matchup against Heritage on Friday. Alcantara threw for 255 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80.8% of his passes the last time he and the Patriots duked it out  back in October of 2023.

Austin Peters Has Career-Day  on Friday
  Austin Peters posted a new career-high in  rushing yards  on Friday. He threw for 145 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
 The  victory (which was Heritage's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. They and Pittsburg are set to duel  on Friday.

A Season-Best  Performance from  Ilias Muhammad Leads Heritage over Deer Valley
 On Friday, Heritage got the W thanks in part to  Ilias Muhammad playing the best football he has all season. Muhammad picked up 58 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 65 yards. The  effort  marked the most  rushing yards  he has had since back in November of 2023.
 For the season,  Muhammad  has averaged 32.6 rushing yards per game.

Searcy Came Up Big in Pittsburg's  49-0  Win
 The second Pittsburg player making an appearance here is  Jamar Searcy, and for good reason. He rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown.
 For the season,  Searcy  has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 121.5 rushing yards per game.

Makari Kenion Turns in Season-Best  Performance
 Pittsburg was led to victory by  Makari Kenion, who turned in his biggest game of the season  on Friday. Kenion picked up 33 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 For the year,  Kenion  has caught 4 touchdowns while averaging 45.8 receiving yards per game.
