Jordan is 8-2 against Cottonwood since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Jordan Beetdiggers will head out on the road to take on the Cottonwood Colts at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Jordan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Tuesday.
Jordan unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak. They were dealt a 75-44 defeat at the hands of Murray. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Jordan has suffered since December 28, 2023.
Despite the defeat, Jordan had strong showings from Brandt Steed, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds, and Jake Thomsen, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Park City scored an imposing 72 points on Tuesday, Cottonwood still came out on top. Cottonwood walked away with an 83-72 win over Park City. Cottonwood pushed the score to 70-46 by the end of the third, a deficit Park City cut but never quite recovered from.
Jordan's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Cottonwood, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with that win, which was their 16th straight at home.
Jordan couldn't quite finish off Cottonwood in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 and fell 60-57. Can Jordan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
