Baseball Recap: DePaul College Prep Comes Up Short

DePaul College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Rita Mustangs. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 6-2 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

DePaul College Prep got a good showing from Gavin Glibowski, who tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Glibowski has allowed since back in April.

At the plate, DePaul College Prep saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Beni Espinosa, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

DePaul College Prep's record is now 20-8. As for St. Rita, their victory bumped their record up to 11-15.

While DePaul College Prep had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
