The Princeton Tigers lost against the Gibson Southern Titans last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Princeton might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 57-41 to Gibson Southern, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Princeton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Princeton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lexi Smith, who scored 8 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Azaryon Wesley, who scored 11 points.
Princeton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Gibson Southern, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Princeton will face off against Tell City at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Tell City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday. As for Gibson Southern, they will head out on the road to face off against Vincennes Lincoln at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
