The Oak Forest Bengals''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 26-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tinley Park. Oak Forest was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Tinley Park apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
Tinley Park's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from George Camacho, who rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns. Camacho is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Harty, who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns.
Oak Forest's defeat was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-2 Bremen and 7-2 Thornton Fractional North (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 64.6% over those games). As for Tinley Park, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4.
Oak Forest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tinley Park is on the road again on October 27th and play against Morris at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Morris has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 362 points over their last eight matches.
