Verde Valley can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent contest on Saturday. They really took it to Leupp Boarding for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-15 victory at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-6.
Verde Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from CJ Wiehl, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zee Dickey, who scored 11 points along with seven assists and two steals.
Meanwhile, Sonoran Science Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by Our Lady of the Sun Academy at home and fell 65-28. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Sonoran Science Academy has suffered yet this season.
Verde Valley's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. As for Sonoran Science Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
