Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Lowell Cardinals, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 21-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buccaneers on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lowell in their matchups with Balboa: they've now lost seven in a row.
Dontee Allen-Wilson had an outrageously good game for Balboa as he rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Allen-Wilson's longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards.
Lowell's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Balboa, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.
Lowell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Balboa will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Lincoln at 11:00 a.m. on November 23rd. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Lincoln: 13.4, Balboa: 14.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
