The Brattleboro Bears fought the good fight in their overtime match against the Windsor Yellowjackets on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 68-65. Brattleboro just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Brattleboro lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Johnathon Haskins, who scored nine points.
Brattleboro bumped their record down to 3-8 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Windsor, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Brattleboro will head out on the road to face off against Mt. St. Joseph Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Vermont (Mt. St. Joseph Academy is ranked 50th, while Brattleboro is ranked 35th). As for Windsor, they will be playing at home against Woodstock at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Woodstock will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
