Horseshoe Bend is 0-5 against Central of Coosa County since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Horseshoe Bend Generals will play host again and welcome the Central of Coosa County Cougars, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
Horseshoe Bend suffered their biggest loss since November 28, 2023 on Monday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 65-45 walloping at the hands of LaFayette. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Horseshoe Bend in their matchups with LaFayette: they've now lost seven in a row.
Meanwhile, Central of Coosa County put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They blew past Thorsby 58-37. The victory was familiar territory for Central of Coosa County who now have six in a row.
Horseshoe Bend has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for Central of Coosa County, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Horseshoe Bend might still be hurting after the 76-50 defeat they got from Central of Coosa County in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Horseshoe Bend was down 47-24.
