The Southwestern Warriors will face off against the Lincoln County Patriots at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Southwestern is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
Southwestern came up short against Estill County on Friday, falling 8-1.

Southwestern saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Carroll, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Carroll has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lincoln County). They put the hurt on Danville with a sharp 21-3 win on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Patriots considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Autumn Durham and Bella Howard did most of the damage at the plate: Durham got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base, while Howard got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. Those three runs gave Durham a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Price, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs.
Lincoln County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Danville only posted an OBP of .471.
Lincoln County's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-15. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Southwestern, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Saturday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Southwestern has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .444. However, it's not like Lincoln County struggles in that department as they've averaged .449. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Southwestern's way against Lincoln County when the teams last played back in March, as Southwestern made off with an 18-3 victory. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
