Richmond-Burton has gone a perfect 4-0 against Sandwich recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Rockets are taking a road trip to face off against the Indians at 4:30 p.m. Richmond-Burton is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
Richmond-Burton had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Woodstock on Monday. The Rockets' pitcher stepped up to hand the Blue Streaks an 8-0 shutout.

Hailey Holtz was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 17 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run.
In other batting news, Gabby Hird was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Madison Kunzer was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Sandwich waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Hornets.
Not much got past Brooklyn Marks, who gave up just a hit and racked up 13 Ks to keep Harvard off the board.
On the hitting side, Sandwich's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Cyr, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Cyr has launched this season. Another was Kendal Petre, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Richmond-Burton's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-6-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Sandwich, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Richmond-Burton hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Sandwich struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Richmond-Burton skirted past Sandwich 1-0 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
