The Scottsdale Preparatory Academy Spartans lost against the Glendale Prep Academy Griffins back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Scottsdale Preparatory Academy took a 49-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Glendale Prep Academy. Scottsdale Preparatory Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Scottsdale Preparatory Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brendan Maclean, who scored 11 points. Will Ryken was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Maddox Smith was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Andersen, who scored two points along with eight assists and eight rebounds.
Scottsdale Preparatory Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Glendale Prep Academy, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Scottsdale Preparatory Academy will head out on the road to face off against Joseph City at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Joseph City will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for Glendale Prep Academy, Glendale Prep Academy and Mountainside will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 13th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Mountainside is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
