The Central Grizzlies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 71-30 loss at the hands of Buchanan. Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-12.
Branden Ezell and Na'Jae Stevenson certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Ezell scored 13 points, while Stevenson scored seven points along with five rebounds. Brandon Madison-smith was another key contributor, scoring two points.
Central dropped their record down to 11-13 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Buchanan, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will challenge the Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Clovis North's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 25 matches. As for Buchanan, they will head out on the road to challenge the Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clovis West presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bears in California (the Golden Eagles are ranked 22nd, while the Bears are ranked 108th).
