The Western Michigan Christian Warriors weren't able to make up for their 35-23 loss to the Ludington Orioles from their previous meeting last December. Western Michigan Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 44-38 to Ludington. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
The Warriors' loss pushed them down to 9-5. The win bumped Ludington's record up to 12-2.
The Warriors will take on Muskegon Heights next week. Western Michigan Christian won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings. As for Ludington, they will go up against Traverse City West on Monday. Ludington has the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
