After losing to the Heritage Pride the last time they met, the Briar Woods Falcons decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The stars were shining brightly for Briar Woods in a 57-42 victory over Heritage on Tuesday.
Leading Briar Woods to victory were Devon Pettibone and Ryan Brzezanski. Pettibone scored 13 points along with six assists and three steals, while Brzezanski dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. The match was Brzezanski's third in a row with at least ten points. Parker Auch was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
The victory got Briar Woods back to even at 3-3. As for Heritage, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Briar Woods will play host again and welcome Warren County, where tip off is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Heritage will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Stone Bridge at 7:15 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Stone Bridge has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
