The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rushville in their matchups with South Dearborn: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the loss, Rushville still got an impressive performance from Keegan Bowles, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That was a full 43.3% of Rushville's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Quentin Cain, who scored seven points.
Peyton Hill was a one-man wrecking crew for South Dearborn as he scored 19 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hill has scored all season. Hudson Shackelford was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Rushville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for South Dearborn, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rushville will take on Greensburg at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Greensburg is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for South Dearborn, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Batesville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Batesville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than South Dearborn in Indiana (Batesville is ranked 102nd, while South Dearborn is ranked 247th).
