Zane Trace saw some tournament action on Friday. They blew past the Nelsonville-York Buckeyes 76-56. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.

Zane Trace's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Landon Robinson, who went 8-for-13 en route to 21 points in addition to six boards and five assists. That's the most points Robinson has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Grady Stewart, who went 9-for-15 on his way to 22 points and five rebounds.

Robinson wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Zane Trace was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Nelsonville-York lost, don't look at Briant Call. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-13 to rack up 13 points along with six boards and three steals. Alec Thompson was another key player, going 5-for-12 en route to 11 points and six rebounds.

Zane Trace is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points over those games. Nelsonville-York's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9.

Coming up, Zane Trace will take on Ironton at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Ironton will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Zane Trace surely won't give up without a fight. Nelsonville-York does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
