Beverly has gone 7-1 against Revere recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Patriots at 11:00 a.m. Beverly will be strutting in after a victory while Revere will be coming in after a defeat.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Beverly nor Methuen made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Rangers 4-3. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Rangers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Beverly got a great performance from Brayden Haley as he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. What's more, Haley posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.

At the plate, Beverly's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Colby McLane, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Revere lost 11-4 to Lynn Classical on Wednesday. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Beverly's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Revere, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Beverly has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Revere struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Everything went Beverly's way against Revere in their previous matchup back in June of 2022, as Beverly made off with an 8-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
