After a string of three wins, the Fairborn Skyhawks's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 60-43 to Stebbins. Fairborn was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Stebbins apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Fairborn still got an impressive performance from Sean Townsend, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Taiyou Williams, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Fairborn's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Stebbins, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairborn will square off against West Carrollton at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stebbins, they will head out on the road to take on Piqua at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Piqua will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 680th, while Stebbins is ranked 243rd).
