The biggest upset of the week belonged to Rockwood, who took down 557th ranked Rockwood, 34-32.
Berlin Brothersvalley extended the longest winning streak in Western Pennsylvania [WPAC] this week by beating Northern Cambria, 21-19. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Berlin Brothersvalley's dynamic duo of Blake Miller and Luke Sprowls proved tough for the Colts to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Miller threw for 175 yards and two touchdowns and Sprowls had 67 yards receiving. Luke Bonus helped Berlin Brothersvalley's passing attack out by catching two balls for 60 yards.
Dustin Blough was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 134 yards as Windber bested Northern Cambria. Teammate Dan Tomlinson added to the ground attack by rushing for 100 yards.
5-foot-10 quarterback Chad Eisenhuth of Ferndale is the league leader in passing yards this season with 690. He has also thrown eight touchdowns. On the ground, Shade's Brock Medva has rushed for 973 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Matt Barkley. The Windber star has 24 catches for 301 yards.
The Panthers' Medva needs only 27 yards against the Mountaineers next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in Western Pennsylvania [WPAC] this week will be when the Ramblers take on Portage. At the moment, Windber is in second, while the Mustangs are in third.
North Star moved up to 322 from 367 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Cougars climbed the ranks as a result of a 3-0 win over Shade.
