State Line Christian were the 52-41 winner over Faith Christian when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. State Line Christian suffered a rough 53-27 defeat at the hands of Faith Christian on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points State Line Christian has scored all season.
Among those leading the charge was Paul Thompson, who scored 18 points. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Jack Coplen, who scored 11 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for State Line Christian and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Faith Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. State Line Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Harvest Temple Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 8, 2024. Faith Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Immanuel Baptist at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
