Basketball Recap: Julian Extends Winning Streak to Three

Julian had won two straight games and Radajah Vance did her part to make it three on Monday. The Julian Jaguars enjoyed a cozy 60-44 victory over the Curie Condors thanks in part to Vance, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Julian's points.

Julian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.5 points per game. As for Curie, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Julian will host Hubbard at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Julian's defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so Hubbard's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Curie, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Orr at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Orr knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Curie likes a good challenge.
