If the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders were feeling good off their 65-29 takedown of the Deerfield Beach Bucks on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. St. Thomas Aquinas fell 58-51 to Cardinal Gibbons on Wednesday. St. Thomas Aquinas was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cardinal Gibbons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played on January 9th.
Despite the loss, St. Thomas Aquinas saw an underclassman step up: Kellson (KJ) Sandi scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Matt Andreopoulos, who scored nine points.
St. Thomas Aquinas' loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Cardinal Gibbons, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-4.
St. Thomas Aquinas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cardinal Gibbons will head out on the road to face off against Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
