Calvary Chapel Academy had to suffer through a rough 54-22 loss at the hands of Altamonte Christian. Calvary Chapel Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-8.
Calvary Chapel Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ava Dorn, who scored seven points, and Abigail Cieslak who scored seven points. Dorn scored a full 31.8% of Calvary Chapel Academy's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Alexis Hill continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Altamonte Christian, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Taneya Wright, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Calvary Chapel Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Altamonte Christian, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Calvary Chapel Academy will head out on the road to face off against Merritt Island Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Merritt Island Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Calvary Chapel Academy in Florida (Merritt Island Christian is ranked 85th, while Calvary Chapel Academy is ranked 590th). As for Altamonte Christian, they will play host again and welcome Foundation Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Foundation Academy's defense has only allowed 27.8 points per game this season, so Altamonte Christian's offense will have their work cut out for Altamonte Christian.
