The Golder Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Chicago Academy Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Last Sunday, Golder came up short against Rauner and fell 47-39.
Kelvyn Park typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Chicago Academy proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 64-61 win over the Panthers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chicago Academy.
It was another big night for Isaiah Cortez, who scored 35 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Chicago Academy's points. Kyle Orta was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
Golder's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Chicago Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
Golder came up short against Chicago Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 52-41. Can Golder avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
