They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Andale/Garden Plain Indians on Monday, sneaking past 12-10. The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Indians on their field since May 5, 2016.
The team relied heavily on Regan Witt, who scored two runs while going 4-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Layla Meier, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Witt wasn't the only one making solid contact: Mulvane kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive matches.
The win got Mulvane back to even at 5-5. As for Andale/Garden Plain, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Coming up, Mulvane will challenge McPherson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bullpups will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. Andale/Garden Plain does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
