The Vincent Memorial Scots will head out on the road to face off against the Calexico Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Vincent Memorial is ranked 570th, while Calexico is ranked 593rd).
After a string of five wins, Vincent Memorial's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Holtville by a score of 27-25.
The losing side was boosted by Jacobo Elias, who rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also threw for 197 yards and two touchdowns. Elias really tore up the turf during one magnificent 86-yard run.
Meanwhile, Calexico fell victim to Brawley's stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Wildcats 40-0.
The losses dropped Vincent Memorial to 6-3 and Calexico to 5-4.
Vincent Memorial suffered a grim 42-16 defeat to Calexico when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Vincent Memorial, Zeus Pradis (who rushed for 171 yards while picking up 9.0 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
