The Bangor Slaters will head out to square off against the Catasauqua Rough Riders at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Bangor is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Catasauqua will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Bangor extended their winning streak to three on Saturday. The Slaters never let Moravian Academy get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The matchup marked the Slaters' most dominant win of the season.
Jaxson Kreider made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Chayse Panczer was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Lincoln Rehrig also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Bangor hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Catasauqua, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against Louis E. Dieruff by a score of 7-2 on Friday.
Alex Bolmer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Joey Conway, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Reece Lopez, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Catasauqua's record now sits at 8-10. As for Bangor, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Bangor beat Catasauqua 6-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Slaters since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
