The Fairview Warriors had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Brooklyn, posting a 65-24 win at home. The victory was just what Fairview needed coming off of a 64-23 loss in their prior match.
When it comes to explaining why Brooklyn lost on Wednesday, one person who can't be blamed is Ashlyn Dyson. Despite the final result, she scored 19 points along with six rebounds and two steals. That was a full 79.2% of Brooklyn's points, marking the 11th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Olivia Callahan, who scored no points along with 13 rebounds and four blocks.
Fairview's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Brooklyn, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-15.
Fairview will head out on the road to take on Lutheran West at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in Lutheran West's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Fairview has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Brooklyn will take on Independence at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Brooklyn focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Wednesday.
