After a string of ten wins, the Plainview Indians's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 43-34 to Duncan.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marya Southerland, who scored eight points along with two steals. Southerland has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Jacelyn Hammon was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Plainview's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-3. As for Duncan, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plainview and Lone Grove will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
