The Meade Buffaloes waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Ingalls by a score of 56-46. The victory was all the more spectacular given Meade's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Ingalls is ranked 30th).
Meade got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sayler Stapleton out in front who scored 22 points along with two steals. Stapleton hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Dallas Sherman, who scored 11 points along with five steals.
Meade is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Ingalls, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.
Meade will be playing at home against Pawnee Heights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ingalls, Ingalls and Spearville will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Spearville is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
