The De La Salle Cavalier will head out on the road to take on the Salmen Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Monday, everything went De La Salle's way against the Swamp Owls as the Cavalier made off with a 52-32 victory. The win was just what De La Salle needed coming off of a 73-34 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the match if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Salmen's strategy against the Rebels on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Salmen blew the Rebels out of the water with a 69-36 final score.
Destiny Bennett was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with six assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendal Thomas, who scored 11 points along with eight assists and three steals.
De La Salle's victory bumped their record up to 8-15. As for Salmen, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-15.
De La Salle and the Spartans were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, but the Cavalier came up empty-handed after a 53-52 defeat. Can De La Salle avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
